Final Solution

The final solution in which research has led to the development of - a clear and informative brochure. The double purpose of the study was also to link followers to an online social platform in which easy and real-time information can be found consistently. A link to Twitter can be located on the back, middle panel of the tri-fold brochure.

El Solution...

To create an effective visual tool, such as an attractive brochure, that would encourage older groups to donate funds to The Janet Pomeroy Center while linking them, as well as younger groups, to an online resource that could be followed regularly and easily for news and event updates.

Findings

80+% Of the people who took my survey, over 80% said that they spend a majority of their time on Social Media sites, such as: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc.

Also, The Janet Pomeroy Center has yet to reach out via social media platforms such as the ones mentioned above. They currently do not have a Twitter page that could be followed regularly for events and news.

One of my panel members and Special Events Coordinator for The Janet Pomeroy Center, Maria Crespin, shared vital information with me, which further refined my research. After speaking with her via email, she solidified the assumption that an older demographic is often times the larger contributors during fund raising events because they are more likely to have disposable incomes. As I realized reaching out to them via digital platforms would not suffice, an informative document would be more effective. The goal then would be to reach out to both old and young age groups with a clear and inviting document that communicates the Center's identity and goals within it's community.

I am currently looking towards an effective/informative brochure that would also link readers to The Janet Pomeroy Center's Twitter page. Approval for the development of a Twitter page is currently pending.
